CHEM 31600. INSTRUMENTAL ANALYSIS Modern methods of chemical analysis are covered with an emphasis on spectroscopy, mass spectrometry, separations, and surface analytical techniques. Particular focus is placed on the use of instruments in chemical industry, clinical analysis, and environmental monitoring. Laboratory work involves multi-week independent projects. Three class hours and one three-hour laboratory period per week.
