RELS 26737. EAST ASIAN BUDDHISM This course studies the transmission to and transformation of Buddhism as it moved from its South Asian roots to East Asian cultures (China, Korea, Japan, Vietnam), and became a vital part of those cultures. Varieties of Buddhist practice and thought across East Asian cultures will be studied, in historical and modern examples. [R]
